Alison Mosshart will release a 7-inch vinyl of her two debut solo singles, Rise and It Ain't Water, on July 31st. Mosshart, best known as one-half of acclaimed duo The Kills and lead singer of blues-punk foursome The Dead Weather, wrote the initial sketch of Rise in 2013. The song was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Lawrence Rothman and released in April to widespread critical acclaim. Currently, Mosshart is working with Jamie Hince on the next Kills record.

Alison Mosshart, known for her work in The Kills and The Dead Weather, is releasing a 7-inch vinyl featuring her two debut solo singles, "Rise" and "It Ain't Water." "Rise" was released in April to critical acclaim, and was originally written back in 2013. Mosshart has collaborated with a variety of artists over the years, including Jack White, Arctic Monkeys, Primal Scream, Gang Of Four, Foo Fighters, James Williamson and Mini Mansions. She has also worked on a variety of projects, including her own music, painting, photography and writing. Mosshart is currently working on the next Kills record with Jamie Hince, with hopes of performing live in the near future. With a wide variety of creative outlets, Mosshart is a multi-disciplinary artist, embracing her solo bonafides and continuing to take chances.
